DER ZWEITE ANSCHLAG dokumentiert die bisher kaum beachtete Perspektive der Betroffenen rassistischer Gewalt in Deutschland. In tiefgehenden Interviews entwickelt der Film ein präzises Bild der teils traumatischen Erlebnisse, welche die Protagonist*innen des Films durchlebt haben. Osman Taşköprü erzählt von dem Mord an seinem Bruder Süleyman, den der Nationalsozialistische Untergrund (NSU) 2001 in Hamburg beging. Ibrahim Arslan schildert seine Erinnerungen an den rassistischen Brandanschlag von Mölln 1992, den er selbst nur knapp überlebte und Mai Phương Kollath wohnte selbst in Rostock-Lichtenhagen, als dort unter dem Beifall hunderter Schaulustiger das Sonnenblumenhaus von Neonazis in Brand gesteckt wurde.

DER ZWEITE ANSCHLAG documents the largely overlooked perspectives of people affected by racist violence in Germany. Through in-depth interviews, the film provides a precise account of the sometimes traumatic experiences of its protagonists. Osman Taşköprü speaks about the murder of his brother Süleyman, who was killed by the National Socialist Underground (NSU) in Hamburg in 2001. Ibrahim Arslan recounts his memories of the racist arson attack in Mölln in 1992, which he himself narrowly survived. Mai Phương Kollath was living in Rostock-Lichtenhagen when neo-Nazis set fire to the Sonnenblumenhaus while hundreds of bystanders looked on and applauded.
